WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I'M A MEMBER??

Log on with your user name and password – you should have received your password by e-mail, we recommend that you change your password to something easier to use. The password issued by Esperance Trader is case sensitive and needs to be entered in exactly as it is shown in your e-mail. If you have not received a password please contact us. Once logged on, the site will welcome you. You can change your password in the member’s details section. To place a classified go to PLACE AN ADVERT on the menu bar and follow the steps.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CLASSIFIEDS??

All Classified ads are FREE.

HOW DO I PRINT A FLYER WITH TEAR OFFS??

You can print a flyer with tear offs that can be placed on notice boards. To do this log on with your user name and password and go to view members ads. Select your ad and click print flyer. To print press the print icon on the explorer tool bar OR right click your mouse and click on print.

HOW DO I PLACE A SOLD OR WANTED AD??

To place a classified log on and go to PLACE AN ADVERT on the menu bar and follow the steps. STEP 1 Check your seller’s details and click NEXT (Changing your seller’s details here does not change your membership details) STEP 2 Select the category you want to place your ad in. STEP 3 Select your add type FOR SALE or WANTED STEP 4 Enter your advert details. TITLE will be the advert heading. PRICE accepts only numbers. $25.00 would be entered as 25 DESCRIPTION details your item. PHOTO – To upload your photo click BROWSE. This will take you to your photo files. Select and open your photo. Click the UPLOAD bar. When your photo appears click on RETURN. You can then PREVIEW and / or SUBMIT your ad. You need to tick the box that you agree to the websites terms and conditions. STEP 5 Select your payment method and click CONTINUE Your ad will not appear immediately in the site but it should be online the following day. ALL ads are authorized by Esperance Trader management before being placed in the classifieds.

HOW DO I VIEW MY LIST OF ADS??

Log on with your user name and password and go to view member’s ads. A list of all your ads will appear.

HOW DO I EDIT MY ADS??

To do this log on with your user name and password and go to view members ads. Select the ad you wish to edit and click edit. Once you have edited you ad it will need to be re authorized so it may be absent from the classifieds for up to 24 hours.

WHAT CAN I ADVERTISE IN THE CLASSIFIEDS??

You can advertise an item as long as you are its owner and the item is not of an illegal nature. Personal ads are not included on the Esperance Trader site.

CAN I PLACE MORE THAN ONE ITEM IN AN AD??

Yes, if the items are all in the same categories. List your main item as the title and then add the other items into your description. It’s up to you if you only want the feature item in your photo. You may wish to do a composite picture showing all items.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY ITEM SELLS OR I DECIDE TO KEEP MY ITEM??

Simply log on with your user name and password and go to view member’s ads. Select your ad and go to advert status. You can then remove your ad or mark it as sold. Once an ad is marked as sold it will automatically be removed after a specified period.

HOW DO I PRICE MY ITEM POA ??

If you only want to disclose the price of your item to genuine enquiries you can enter POA for your ad by entering -1 for the price. The price will then come up as POA in your ad.

CAN I GO BACK AND RE EDIT MY AD OR PLACE PHOTOS AT A LATER DATE??

Yes. You don’t have to place a photo of your item when first placing an ad. Our ship logo with a photo coming soon stamp will be put in the photos place. If you don’t have a photo the logo will stay on your ad. If you are feeling creative you could place appropriate clip art or a flyer on in place of a photo. Remember - All ads once edited, will need to be re-authorized so it may be absent from the classifieds for up to 24 hours.

WHY AM I HAVING PROBLEMS UPLOADING PHOTOS ??

It is a good idea to have web photos of your sale items in one folder so they can be easily found. Photos need to be 440 pixels wide or less OR up to 2 mb in size to be easily uploaded. Either take photos with your camera set on the web photo settings or change existing photos to a web format by using a photo program. We use Microsoft Picture it and change them to a web format by clicking on save special. (Click save as a web photo and the ½ page setting, it works a treat.) If you are still having problems please e-mail your photos and we can place them for you.

WHY IS A STANDARD BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP FREE ??

It’s free because we want every business to have a standard membership so that all Esperance Trader members have access to an informative and useful business directory. Esperance Trader is not just another business database. There is something for everyone on the Esperance Trader site.

HOW LONG WILL A STANDARD BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP LAST ??

All memberships, both standard and upgraded are for a period of twelve months. There is no annual charge to renew a standard membership and there is no obligation to upgrade your membership.

HOW WILL UPGRADING MY MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT MY BUSINESS ??

Upgrading your membership allows you to place additional information and photos with your listing. With the photos you can display specific items or post a map of your location. Place a photo of your team, display awards, shop fronts, work samples and logos. A standard feature of all memberships is being able to place ads in the classifieds

MY BUSINESS HAS ITS OWN WEBSITE. WHY WOULD I UPGRADE??

A level 2 upgrade makes a direct link from your listing to your website. It’s an easy way for Esperance Trader members to find your information.

CAN MY BUSINESS PLACE ADS IN THE CLASSIFIEDS ??

YES – just use your login name and password to login and then go to place an advert. All classified categories are Free and the ad will stay on line for a month or until you remove it or mark the item as sold. You can use the classifieds for sale and general items, even items you continually stock can be placed in an ad.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY BUSINESS UPGRADE ??

Payment can be made by Direct Deposit, Credit Card with Pay Pal, BPAY or by check or money order. Post your check or money order along with a printed copy of your invoice to Esperance Trader, PO Box 1390 Esperance WA 6450. Once we have received payment your upgrade will be authorized and appear in the directory.
